Here are but a few great things that have happened at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Burlington.

We provide lodging for approximately 400 families each year. Many of our families come from upstate New York.

The longest lodging of a guest was 10 months. Another family has made 94 separate visits for treatment at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center.

The average stay is 3-4 days.

One in three of our guests is unable to pay the requested $10 per night fee.

The leading illness that brings families here is premature births. Oncology rates second. And respiratory issues rate third.

We have over 200 volunteers who fill 21 different jobs. We are always looking for new volunteers. We operate with a paid staff of three full time employees and an evening manager.

We have many family units that serve as our volunteer weekend relief managers. A few of those families were former guests at our House.

We have national and local donors of in-kind gifts who are: Green Mountain Coffee, Hood Dairy, Coca Cola, Dupon/Corian, Kohler, Lennox Hearth Products, Select Comfort, Elks Lodge, Engraving Bench, George Weston Bakery, Offset House, Ethan Allen Club, Contact Communications, Benjamin Moore, In Sinkerator, and Brand Source to name a few.
